Commemorative service celebrates nursing

More than 1,000 nurses and supporters attended a special program on 25 April at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., in honor of the 100th anniversary of the death of Florence Nightingale. Among attendees were (from left) Allison Ruth Edmonds Poff, ARNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, Delta Beta-at-Large; Karen Morin, RN, DSN, ANEF, president of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International; Nadine Edwarda Connor, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC, Delta Beta-at-Large; and Rebecca Ruth Ernest. The event was among a series of activities in celebration of the 2010 International Year of the Nurse. Video of event.
